We facilitates and build capacity among women groups in producing alternatives to plastic products, plastic free toys, toxic free food products while preserving and promoting traditional knowledge , skills and incorporating zero waste principles.
Promotion of plastic free chemical free safe sanitary pads is our another project which is projected to support rural women and to protect environment and Training on the topic was given to rural women. Biodegradable and plastic-free sanitary pads have gained popularity as an eco-friendly alternative to traditional disposable pads. These products are designed to break down more easily in the environment, reducing the long-term environmental impact associated with conventional plastic-containing pads.
Plastic Sanitary pads often contain various chemicals and synthetic materials, and there has been concern about the potential harmful effects associated with prolonged use. While there is ongoing research in this area, some studies have raised awareness about certain chemicals found in sanitary pads. Some research studies bought out the presence of certain chemicals like dioxins, pestsicide residues, bisphenol A and bisphenol S which are very harmful to women. Our product is plastic free, chemical free, biodegradable, safe to health, environment friendly and can be reused.
The Environment education program of Kadambari, where children of our locality are members of this progamme. Children conduct regular nature monitoring studies on odonates, owls, common birds, moths and butterflies. We believe nature conservation conscious minds in children can be nurtured only through teaching them love for nature. Through this program we are making them understand their surroundings, impact of small changes in nature, positive as well as negative.
